Why Lodges in Alaska insist on selling lodging / fishing packages to all who want to vacation there?

I had the hardest time to find a Lodge in Alaska, when I went there on vacation that would allow me to design my own vacation itenary, instead of being tied to the instructions they have use and all the activities they dictate. I am very happy with Salmon Catcher Lodge, which allowed me to design my own activities.

Well, it's nothing unusual. You can find this type of behavior in many other places where they force 'you to buy packages that you really do not want. Why is this? Simply because they can earn much more with packages that way. Of course it is also true that probably most people actually seek such a complete package. I have the same problem as you and it actually happened that I gave up at certain places and went somewhere else, because I just could not find a place where I could decide what to do. I To say we are suffering minority here …
