fishing charters miami fl

Does anybody know of any good fishing spots near miami fl.?
I don’t go fishing very often but recently during the Summer i found out that both me and my dad like to go out saltwater fishing preferably red snapper but anything will do i just want to be able to go out fishing in our boat and bond with my dad and catch fish so if anyone has any good fishing spots near miami that would be great and i have already tried doing the whole charter boat thing it really wasn’t such a good experience so if anyone could help us out and we only do catch and release so we wont be taking any fish away from your spot.
I heard Miami and I got here as fast as I could. Happy to help you out. Fishing Miami from a boat? Not a problem. Catch and release? Even better.
Okay, fishing is going to be best at night around the bridges. You want something to talk about for years? Try Tarpon and Snook fishing around the bridges between 79st and the Venetian bridge. Any bridge in between these places hold these fish year round. Also try Government cut for some crazy Tarpon and shark action at night. Use live shrimp or pick up some pilchards ( use a sabiki rig or a cast net around the lighted parts of any bridge) for quick action, for sharks use cut sardine or mullet. Back to the bridges, free line the bait towards the bridge and just beyond the shadow line on the water. Keep your boat away from the bridge about 10-20 yards so not to spook the fish.
Maybe you don’t want to go night fishing, not a problem either. You will want to fish the mouth of either the Haullover inlet or Government cut in Miami Beach. You’ll get a mixed bag of all types of fish here. Don’t anchor because you’ll just get run over by other boats, simple drift out and return. Try a 1 ounce jig tipped with a live shrimp here and just drag it along the bottom.
If you’re after some deep sea action, you’ll need a GPS because there are several reefs you can hit up for Grouper and such. You can find many coordinates here: http://www.myfwc.com or you can pick up a saltwater fishing regs. booklet and get some coordinates from there as well. No GPS? just follow out a party/head boat and drift with them. Keep your distance ( 200 + yards away) because this is their lively hood. Drift a knocker rig with 3- 5/0 hooks eye to eye with a whole sardine. Drop it to the bottom, crank it up 3 or 4 times and drift. You can also use an 8 ounce egg weight on the main line so it moves freely, tie the line to a swivel. Tie a 10 feet leader to the swivel. Tie on a single 5/0 hook to the line and use a whole sardine for bait. Drop it slow to the bottom and leave your bail open and your thumb on the reel letting the line out slow. You’ll know when you get hit, the line will start peeling off faster than it was originally.
You can google earth all these places or just buy a map to get an idea of how you want to fish these places. Remember, fish with the tide going towards the bridge not away from it. You’ll catch more. ~good luck catchin’.
