How to make the flower foam stay at the bottom of the water and not floating?
I am trying to use the small flowers arranging it on the flower foam then put it in a fish bowl then fill up some water, but I can’t make the flower foam stay at the bottom of the fish bowl, it keeps floating on top. Does anyone know how to make it stay at the bottom? I got the foam from Dollar store. Is there a difference between the dollar store flower foam from the flower shop? Thanks!!
If you are using fresh flowers, you need to get Oasis foam. It will soak up and hold water so that even when the water in the vase or bowl gets low, the flowers will hang on until you replace the water. It is a special kind of foam. Walmart sells it or they used to. Hold it in place with green florist’s clay although it won’t float (but it could tip to one side with the weight of the flowers). Of course, you wouldn’t use any of this in a fish bowl with live fish!! ; )
