The easiest method of fishing to catch lake salmon / trout / walleye?

I want to Isle Royale (northernmost part of Michigan) and I bring fishing address, and we are somewhat dependent on fish for our 8 day hike. I am an experienced fisherman, and I just want some pointers on lake fish. There are bass, perch, walleye, salmon, trout, Catfish and carp god aweful. Which would be the easiest way to fish for the fish? Bass, I am not worried, I know how to catch them, its walleye and salmon I want and I'm not sure the best way to go about it. Any info would be freakin sweet. thanks

For wall eyes your best bet is to target rocky points or stoned lats with curly tail jigs and minnows or tipped with night crawlers. If you have a canoe you can look down the throat areas between islands and running through these areas with Lindy rigs tipped with minnows or night crawlers or jigs bouncing along the bottom. Casting to the coast from a canoe in deep diving minnow baits in silver with black back or gold with black back can be effective at times. Jigs work well at almost anytime of the pike and you can catch perch and small mouth bass on them. Salmon tend to reside in deeper colder water most of the time. If you go early enough in the season you might find them in the top 10-20 meters above the water column and be able to catch them on spinners or spoons. Middle or end of summer your best best if you're in a canoe, is to target the neck down areas between islands with water over 50 feet and jig with large spoons as a molded masterpieces in silver, rainbow colors and gold. One thing to try if you are fishing in the islands is to start fishing the side closest to where the wind comes from the first. Bait fish tend to get channeled into these areas of open water and larger prey stacked up waiting for it to arrive. If you are casting to the shoreline try and threw the shorelines wind blows in, the same concept bait is pushed up and the prey is targeted at that.
