Weiss Lake Crappies?

I’m heading to Weiss Lake in two weeks. This is the first time I’ll be fishing this “Crappie Capitol of the World”. I fish crappies, but it generally takes me more time to find active structure, or even spawning areas. I’ll be there for three days, just wondering if anyone has one of those “secret spots” on the lake. Surface temp should be in the low 50’s.

I prefer casting jigs or slip bobber rigged with live bait, versus trolling.

And there’s nothing wrong with trolling, at all. I just love to feel those light lipped specks. But I’ll hang my left leg in the water and wear a poodle skirt if you could guarentee fish!!!!

PS….Well, probably not the leg in the water.

you are going one of the best crappie fishing capitals in thew south. Those crappie are all over the place there this time of the year be sure too use your electronics to find the cover in the water particularly cedar tops. Also look for drop offs in the river and near any creeks you can find. Fish a chartreuse jig with a black head and if they aree there you will find them.
