fishing rod case

Has anyone fished with a split grip rod?
Do you find casting a bit cumbersome? I have a little bit of a problem with mine, because I two hand cast. In case you haven’t seen one yet, here is an example………..http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/SceneSevenDisplay?catalogId=10001&storeId=10151&langId=-1&productId=16033&scene7Path=BassPro%2f153-796-00%3flayer%3dcomp%26wid%3d500%26hei%3d500%26fmt%3djpeg%26qlt%3d100%2c0%26op_sharpen%3d0%26resMode%3dtrilin%26op_usm%3d1.0%2c1.0%2c0.0%2c0%26iccEmbed%3d0&sourceName=images2%2f100-000%2f153-796-00.jpg&type=0&linkEnabled=false
I don’t own any split-grips yet. (Although, I’m pretty sure Exert & GoldenFeather probably do. They keep their tackle on the “cutting edge”. Wish I could! lol)
Have you noticed the trend in B.A.S.S./FLW Pro’s using 7′ stiks with super-long “foregrips”?
They kinda “tuck it under their arm” during the retrieve, (like a “fulcrum”). Seems to make for excellent strikes/hooksets!
I’m “old school” though! If a foregrip is over 12″ I have trouble casting altogether, (although I don’t usually 2 hand cast unless I need extra EXTRA distance).
Hey, thanks for the “heads-up” on the splits!
