Can i make a fish trap for a lake out of a 10 gallon fish tank?
It has a wire screen on top and its all glass on the sides and bottom. I thought if i cut a hole in the wires to make it go in a little bit like a tunnel and put bait in there the fish would swim in and not know how to get out. What do you think? What could make this better?
Do you know how hard it would be to pull a 10 gallon tank full of water up? Not to mention, you would only be able to go a certain depth where you could keep the trap from smashing into the bottom and shattering. There is also a water pressure issue… if it goes to deep, it could implode. I would say just make the trap from wire… However, I would not use it to catch anything nice, just bait.
