Dads boots stuck in Mud?

Help! Took my dads hip waders fishing, and when the tide went out my mates dared me to go out on the mudflats. I got across okay, but on the way back it got much deeper and sticky and the boots sank right to the tops and started to fill up. I struggled to get out but the boots are a couple of sizes too big and my feet pulled out and I had to wade back to shore in my socks. My dad will kill me if he finds out. I can just about see the tops sticking out he mud. Is there an easy way to get them out? These are proper rubber waders and were expensive. Yes my mates had a good laugh.

Go early tomorrow morning, the frost should have frozen the mud, and you can chip the boots out with a spade. Do be care full though, you dont want to do yourself a mischief!

All the best,
