Fishing in Western Washington?
I am looking to start salmon fishing in Western Washington. I know there are some great spots. I grew up fishing lakes with my grandfather but now I want to start hitting rivers. I fished the Skookumchuck River yesterday, the day after it opened for kings. There was not much action. A moderate amount of anglers, but no fish. Does anyone know when there will be more kings in it? Does anyone know any tips on what to use? And is there any other rivers that are hot for salmon yet? Also I know there is a time where you can go to Westport and literally catch salmon from the port. Does anyone know when it will be? any tips or advice is appreciated! I thought the Skokomish River is where I fished.
