Everywhere I go I always leave empty-handed = (

golly gee … it are a tough one … you do not happen to have a river or two near you, do you? Check. l've heard rumors of a few streams FULL of channel cats and flathead place down your way. also all channels … maybe has something to do with the choice of bait. forget hotdogs. use live shad or bluegills or freshly dead / frozen shad. area under the laguna or imperial dam should be pretty good. especially in Laguna in deadlock. lower before the river enters Mexico also has lots of good catfish. the Gila River has lots of cats upstream from confluence with Colorado. even small irrigation canals can have some surprisingly big cats. some of the larger models, be sure bets. find some overflow or culverts to fish below.
