Is it okay to feed a St. Bernard cooked salmon?

Last night I asked this question and received different answers, so I want to be more specific. We get a one year old St. Bernard today. We live in rural Alaska off the road system. All our supplies to be flown in, which means that there is an extra $ 25 added to the price of each bag of dog food we put out. We live on a lake and subsistence fish for salmon, so that we can net as much salmon this summer, as we can personaly consume for years. The comments I received last night included suggestions for cheaper substitutes for salmon. I want to use salmon as a cheaper substitute for purchased dog food. Hopefully this clarifies my question and you guys can answer me. Thanks
