How do you set the hook when you use a float (Click Clack) on the grass flats?
Hi, I've been having a lot of problems for time setting the hook with a click Clack Bobber / float on the grass flats.I 've tired the usual reaction hook set and breaks for 2.3 or 5 seconds. We prob hook around 15-20 fish amoungst the 3 of us, but they usually bring in about 2-3. Im an experienced (but not very good) angler, im just wondering if anyone with a little more experience under their belt have any tips on setting the hooks of red and brown trout or other tips for that matter. I fish in the Florida Gulf Coast (cedar key) is a kayak. Thanks
Thats why I hate popping corks. reel tight and then give it a tug. Its hard because there is so much tied between you and the fish
