Fishing in California ….?

I will travel to SoCal over Spring Break (April 3-11). I will be staying in Pasadena, California. How is fishing available around Me? I would be without a boat, but would go with a charter or surf fish or side of the lake. Just let me know where your favorite fishing spot is and what ya catch there. Thanks, Tight Lines.

Pasadena is far from where the fish are biting in April maybe one evening (twilight) boat out of one of the ports will be on a sand bass bite. But bugger rollers are not huge fun even when all the guys are back playing with sand bass you might find a halibut is still lurking around the bass are being caught off their spawning beds. Usually around June, but with el nino yesterday on the water could be good up to the operative temperature in April. Maybe some Barracuda around and when I heard halibut was coming out of the bays 2 months premature (also caused by El Nino), sand bass bite can be completely open for your visit. Bass are in almost all park lake throughout LA & OCI expect the Pyramid of Grapevine will have stripes going out in April with Silverwood in the San Berdo. Trout should be all but gone at the moment and if the halibut move out of the bays now they might be in full force in any fingers at the time also.

I’ve recently discovered a terrific resource for bass fishing techniques. It’s a bass fishing book called “Bass Fishing Exposed”. This is a well-written, thoroughly enjoyable, E-book of bass fishing tips that will help YOU improve all facets of your bass fishing experience. Of all the fishing books I’ve read in my 30 plus years of life (and in particular the books on bass fishing), I’ve never come across a more valuable resource! You will truly have more fun out on the lake! Click here to read the rest of the article:Bass Fishing Exposed
